In the process of deciding to blog (it's witchie's fault), I noticed I have not done this in 2 years. JUST...WOW! I wonder if it works any better.
On an informative soap box... I really learned how the other half lives last week and I want to be that other half. Took the apple of my eye and her horse to an "A" circuit show for the first time ever. Got there Tuesday morning and returned Sunday evening. We had so much fun and learned SO much. Suprisingly she did VERY well. Sunday she finished 2nd overall in her weekend class. Her trainer pushed her on Thursday and Friday in events that had higher jumps and against grownups, but it was on purpose to prepare her for her events during the weekend. It worked. Her confidence is soaring right now. But what I really learned from the whole trip is....I'm not one of the "other half"!! My gosh! I knew I was in trouble when we were watching the pro's on Wednesday evening and her trainer explains how this one particular horse we were watching jump 5 foot jumps sold last year for half a mil. I imidiately understood why I was seeing shinny tractor trailer trucks with giant chrome trailers and "people". I want people! I want shinny trucks! (this is NOT where you say something about on fire either). I want a horse that jumps 5 feet!
That is all I have to say for now. I will be taking up donations starting tomorrow.
Thanks!
