Cowboys Are The NFC East Champions
After a very long and hard fought season, the Cowboys have officially clinched the NFC East Division Title. In a very ironic twist of fate, the Cowboys were behind for over 59 minutes of today's game against the Detroit Lions. It was not until the fourth quarter with just seconds left in a 27-21 game, that a Tony Romo touchdown strike to Jason Witten tied the score at 27-27, and then Nick Folk sealed the deal with the extra point.
It was an exciting game that had all the earmarks of a loss until the dramatic finish choreographed by Tony Romo. Romo set a new franchise record with 17 consecutive games with a touchdown, and Jason Witten set career highs in catches (15) and yardage (138), but today was not about individual achievements, today we celebrate a team that has won the NFC East for the first time in over ten seasons, and is on the verge of shattering the all time record for wins in franchise history.
Congratulations to the 2007 Dallas Cowboys!
